This is a photo of Crosby St. in 1978 from photographer Thomas Struth, when I 1st saw the photo it took me back to the days of walking around the old hood, the streets were empty and the garbage was every where, it was magic. In those days the streets were yours. I decided to try and re-create this shot and as you can see things have not changed much as far as the buildings goes, it is only a lot more cleaner and there is more hustle and bustle today.
